The sub-Fund aims to achieve positive returns during bullish stock market trends while minimising losses during downturns. The objective is pursued by investing in equities issued mainly by European companies. We also invest in bonds and units of other Funds that invest in equities and bonds and indirectly in commodities. The sub-Fund applies hedging strategies with the use of listed derivative contracts. Investment decisions are based on a periodic re-evaluation of the asset classes in which we invest, based on our forecasts regarding global economic and political conditions. This analysis allows us to identify promising medium and long term investments and provides the basis for our investment decisions. The sub-Fund is actively managed as the investment manager, subject to the established investment objectives and policy, has discretion over the portfolio without any reference or constraint to a benchmark.
